The TB370 is a seven-ton class excavator from the TB300 Series: about 14,850 lbs, with 56.9 HP, 13 ft 4.7 in of dig depth, and 21 ft 11.4 in of reach.
Takeuchi lists load-sensing hydraulics and three auxiliary circuits. Primary auxiliary flow is 31.7 gpm, so it can run larger attachments such as a mulching head when the attachment is matched to that flow. The operator station has an 8 in touchscreen with a jog dial, and the cab tilts forward for service. Typical work is utility mains, site development, and demolition.

The TB257FR is about 2,175 lbs lighter and trades reach and breakout force for its offset boom and tight tail swing. The TB290 is the next size up, about 18,630 lbs, with 69.2 HP, 15 ft of dig depth, and 24 ft 5 in of reach. Choose the TB370 when a six-ton machine is short on depth or auxiliary flow and a nine-ton machine is more than the site calls for.
