Start with the program rules, then size the replacement.

California equipment and conservation programs have different funding windows, eligible equipment, ownership rules, and documentation requirements. Bring the current machine's engine year, serial number, operating hours, ownership history, and county. Your branch can help build an equipment quote, but the administering agency determines eligibility and funding.

Air-district tractor replacement

Local air districts publish their own eligibility rules, application periods, and replacement-equipment requirements. Check the current district guidance before ordering equipment or destroying an existing machine.

FARMER and Carl Moyer

These programs can support replacement of eligible older off-road equipment with equipment that meets the current applicable California emissions standard or an approved zero-emission category. Operating history, ownership, use, and program-specific replacement rules matter.

CORE

CORE supports eligible zero-emission off-road equipment through published voucher categories and funding rounds. Categories and funding status change; verify the current CORE page before treating a machine as voucher-eligible.

NRCS EQIP

EQIP supports approved conservation practices under an NRCS plan. Applications are accepted year-round, while state ranking dates determine when applications are considered for available funding. It is not a general equipment rebate.
