Where the TB235-2 Fits
The TB235-2 is a 3.5-ton class conventional-tail excavator: about 7,418 lbs with a canopy or 7,639 lbs with a cab, 10 ft 7.8 in of dig depth, and 17 ft 2.9 in of reach. Bucket breakout force is 9,127 lbs.
It is a common size for utility laterals, foundations, drainage, and general site work where the machine moves between jobs on a trailer. The conventional tail gives a stable platform and a roomier station, and Takeuchi lists the undercarriage at 5 ft 2.2 in wide. Takeuchi notes the engine needs no DPF.

The TB230 is roughly 1,060 lbs lighter with about 16 in less dig depth. The TB335R is the short-tail alternative at nearly the same size: similar dig depth at 10 ft 6.2 in, and a tail swing radius Takeuchi lists at 3 ft 1.4 in against 4 ft 4.4 in here, on a wider 5 ft 8.5 in undercarriage.
