Where the TB2150R Fits
The TB2150R is a reduced-tail excavator in the 15-metric-ton class, about 34,215 lbs on rubber tracks with 114 HP. It uses a fixed boom with a standard long arm and digs to 19 ft 9.4 in, the deepest of any Takeuchi excavator, with 28 ft 10.1 in of reach.
Three auxiliary circuits and 59.0 gpm of primary flow support large attachments. Takeuchi lists a 270 degree camera system and a tail swing radius of 5 ft 6.9 in, about a foot shorter than the TB2150. It is suited to deep utilities, commercial site work, and road projects where the tail has to stay close to the machine.

TB2150R Compared With Nearby Sizes
The TB2150 is the conventional-tail machine at nearly the same weight. It has a swing boom and a standard dozer blade, and digs to 18 ft. The TB395W is a smaller wheeled machine for roadwork at about 26,425 lbs. Choose the TB2150R for depth and a shorter tail, and the TB2150 when you want to offset the boom and dig alongside the tracks.
