Where the TCR50-2 Fits

The TCR50-2 is a tracked dump carrier. It has a 14,440 lb operating weight, carries up to 8,157 lbs, and moves on tracks, so it can haul fill, rock, or spoil across mud, sand, and slopes where a wheeled dump truck would rut or get stuck.

The dump body rotates 180 degrees, 90 degrees to either side, so the operator can place material beside the machine or behind it without turning the undercarriage. Takeuchi lists a 65 degree tip angle and a dump body capacity of 2.68 cubic yards heaped, or about 1.5 cubic yards struck. It travels at up to 5.9 mph in high range and 4.3 mph in low.

Because the body swings to either side, the carrier can run along a trench line or a narrow haul road and dump beside itself, without the room a truck needs to turn around. Takeuchi lists the machine at 7 ft 2.6 in wide.

The frame and dump body are steel, and the undercarriage uses bogie-style rollers that Takeuchi says resist de-tracking on uneven ground. A rear camera is standard, along with LED lights and a brush guard, and the cab has windows that open. Daily checks are made from the ground, and the belly pans come off for cleaning.

It pairs with an excavator on pipeline and utility corridors, site development, land clearing, and demolition cleanup. It is the only crawler dumper Takeuchi offers, so the comparison is with other ways of moving material: its maximum load is about twice the rated operating capacity of the TL12V2 track loader, and it travels on ground a truck cannot.
